What is Integrated Pest Management (IPM)? Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sound approach to pest management that relies on a combination of modern pest control practices and thorough working knowledge of pest management. IPM takes in to account current pest information and their interaction with the environment.

Rodents are attracted to buildings because of the readily available supply of either food, water or harbourage, but this absolutely does not mean that a building should suffer from a rodent infestation. A rodent infestation can have a large financial impact.

It is very important that due diligence is given to view pest management as an ongoing effort, rather than be seen as a periodic or reactive task. It is much easier and safer to take a proactive approach rather than a reactive one.

Our aim is to support our customers in understanding how to effectively manage pests, and to ensure that they are aware of how environmental issues in their location will have an effect on pest management procedures.

Our industry recognises the need to ensure that rodenticides are used correctly and in ways that minimise the exposure of wildlife and other non-target animals.
